What can you infer from the below statistics?

Umm, the table is obtained from singstat so i believe the accuracy is very good. what I know is that the GDP per capita of Indonesians is US$ 1,369 which is what was achieved in Singapore in 1972.

From A level Economics we learned that GDP per capita is how the government is able to measure the basket of goods that can be otained by its citizens. something more accurate than the Purchasing Power Parity.

Means Indonesia is 36 years behind Singapore and Indonesians are 30 times poorer than Singaporeans! A country with only 4.6 million people and 700 square km of land.

OH MY GOODNESS. HOW CAN THE GOVERNMENT BE SAID TO BE DOING A GOOD JOB?

And notice the increment in the last 10 years. the periode after economics crisis hits Asia. SINGAPORE IS THE BEST!

kapan ya Jakarta punya MASS RAPID TRANSIT ala singapore?

rumah gue tuh jauh banget dari pusat kota jakarta… dan jakarta tu kan macetnya forever and ever...sigh… kerasa banget jauh kalo naek taksi mbayar argo dan/nyupir sendiri… minimal 1 jam ke thamrin kalo lancar biasa… kalo sial bisa 2.5 – 3 jam…

jakarta harusnya punya MRT mulai 2009 kan pemilu lagi, harusnya content campaignnya tentang Public TRansportation in heavily-populated urban settings like dki jakarta yang udah kategorinya megapolitan bukan lagi metropolitan, penduduknya aja udah hampir 20 juta kalo siang kali ye… its already 6x singapore… as a proportional comparison take a look at Tokyo in Japan…

busway nolong, tapi kalo ujan gede kaya 3 hari terakhir ini, tetep aja basah kuyup masuk keluar busnya…. dan kalo ujan gede tau dong taksi rada susah juga,,,… apalagi kalo sendiri dan ga bawa payung…

imagine kalo ada MRT from across my house:

super indo and then next station… haji muhi… and then next station… pondok pinang… and then next station…arteri pondok indah… 4 stationsnya udah bisa nolong banget… =)

arteri pondok indah —– pakubuwono —- ratu plaza —- (further 3 stations)..

nah dari ratu plaza baru naik busway all the way further up.

if travelling fare to 2 MRT stations in singapore costs 80 cents, then the cost from super indo to ratu plaza would be $ 2.40 and from ratu plaza to BI will cost additional Rp 3.500,- and the total cost would be … $ 3.00!
